The mission of the Santa Cruz County Lacrosse Warriors Fundraising  is to support the growth and development of lacrosse in our community by raising funds to provide accessible opportunities for youth athletes. Through collaborative efforts and community engagement, we aim to empower young players, promote sportsmanship, and foster a love for the game of lacrosse.

Our primary goals are:

• Accessibility:  We strive to remove financial barriers and ensure that all interested youth in Santa Cruz County have the opportunity to participate in lacrosse programs. By raising funds, we aim to provide scholarships, equipment, and resources to support athletes who may otherwise face obstacles in joining the sport.
• Youth Development: We are committed to promoting personal growth, teamwork, and leadership skills among our young players. By organizing fundraising initiatives, we seek to offer high-quality coaching, training camps, clinics, and educational resources that enhance the technical skills and character development of our athletes.
• Community Engagement: We recognize the importance of building a strong lacrosse community in Santa Cruz County. Through our fundraising efforts, we aim to foster connections between players, families, coaches, and supporters. We strive to organize community events, promote volunteering, and collaborate with local businesses and organizations to create a positive and inclusive lacrosse environment.
• Sustainability: We understand that long-term success relies on the sustainability of our fundraising efforts. We are dedicated to establishing partnerships, securing sponsorships, and implementing effective strategies to generate financial resources that will support the growth of the Santa Cruz County Lacrosse Warriors and ensure the longevity of our programs.

Through our commitment to these goals, the Santa Cruz County Lacrosse Warriors Fundraising  strives to make a lasting impact on the lives of youth athletes, their families, and the broader community. Together, we can provide opportunities for growth, build a strong lacrosse community, and inspire the next generation of players and leaders.

We couldn't run a successful Lacrosse club without the support of our community of businesses and individuals.  Your sponsorship dollars or gift in kind will go directly toward building awareness of the great sport of Lacrosse within the community and provide scholarships for those in need.  You can help by donating money, appreciated stock, products or gift cards.

Santa Cruz County Lacrosse, Inc., “SCCLA” (Tax ID #45-0830042) is a volunteer-led 501(c)(3) non-profit youth lacrosse program that serves 100's of families in Santa Cruz County. The Board’s goal is to double the league size in the next 3 years and is anticipating significant expansion over the next 5-10 years given the popularity of the sport across the country and growth in the Bay Area. We anticipate fielding boys and girls teams from 2nd to 8th grade.

We invite you to consider sponsorship of our program, with visibility throughout the year, including the main spring competitive season, Summer and Fall clinics,  and end of season tournament.  Donations of products or gift cards will be used in raffles and prizes in fundraising events.

Like many other non-profit organizations, COVID severely disrupted our organization financially.  Our club saw a 60% reduction in players, and we were nearly bankrupt to start the 2022 season.  We were one more bad season away from folding. 

The main board objective was to create a financial plan in the direction of solvency and program improvement.  Our goal for 2023 was to create an ongoing fundraising plan, while keeping the cost of registration accessible to all our families.  Through the efforts of our parent volunteers and community members we were able to exceed our annual goal.  With the funds raised we were able to rebuild a portion of our reserves, replace aging equipment, introduce a school outreach program, provide loaner equipment to 30-40 new players and support our local high school programs.  Below is a chart of how resources were allocated.

For the upcoming year, we will continue to fundraise to further our league offerings.  We appreciate the efforts of all of our parent volunteers and business partners.
